The Party Laundrette tagline reads “Get tipsy, get your groove on and get the laundry done”. Socializing with friends, mingling and dancing to the 70’s finest tracks are indeed great ways to pass time while waiting for your trousers to dry. Look for the pop-up in and around London, and you will find their intention and concept brilliant: It is THE place to clean yourself up before and after a sloppy night out.
The Party Launderette designers have done an excellent job combining tacky Laundromat feel with retro disco nostalgia. White plastic lawn chairs rest on fake green grass, and disco balls rotate over top washing machines day and night. Women dressed as retro diner servers fly past on roller-skates offering cups of ‘jo and cocktails to anyone quick enough to nab one off their trays. They’re awfully good on those skates.
The Party Launderette is soap suds-ing its way through London, enticing all to dance amongst disco balls and boxes of detergent. Catch this awesome pop-up in London while you can!
