Milk [Berlin] – The Ceramic Wizards
Out with the old plateware and in with the new! Fall down the rabbit hole at Kühn Keramik in Berlin, a fantasy world of whimsically hand painted ceramics. Housed in a former Apotheke, Kühn has chucked out all matter of pills and prescriptions, whilst keeping the original and beautiful wooden shelving and drugstore-feel in tact. Now the shelves are lined with unique ceramic tiles, cups, plateware and household items. Bernhard Kühn is the ceramic wizard who produces everything in house, with cups and saucers stacked ceiling high inside the studio, viewable from street level. There is so much to see here, the place smells like chocolate from the patisserie next door and there’s a resident pug named Karlos who likes to laze about the shop. What’s not to love?!
